An Engineering Origin of God
Description (Version 2.1)
- Engineer offers own creation theory
- Richard Quittenton, P.Eng., Ph.D. was troubled by what he read in the Bible that didn't make sense to him. So the retired engineer wrote down his own theories in a pamphlet titled An Engineering Origin of God. "I was looking for something I could live with as an engineer that made technical sense", says Quittenton, a 74-year-old resident of Vancouver Island who calls himself a practising Catholic. In the text - which touches on the Big Bang, and "the energy pool of God" - Quittenton offers an alternative beginning to the Book of Genesis: "In the beginning, God fixed the Numbers of Creation. God fixed two Numbers, the Strong Nuclear Force and the Weak Nuclear Force".

Religious
- In the enclosed work, An Engineering Origin of God, the concept is developed that life arose as the result of an initial unplanned, chance event, through the hand of science, followed by a deliberate, planned event through the hand of God.
- The concept should help eliminate any perceived gap between science and religion.
Scientific/Technical
- Thermodynamic Theory specifically excludes gravitational energy from the domain of the First Law of Thermodynamics because there is no payment anywhere in the universe for water power or tidal power, as the First Law would require.
- If there is one exception to a Law, there might be another exception.
- One such possibility, for another form of energy, is explored in the attached work on An Engineering Origin of God.
