Description of Features
The Crystal Dome Project is an attempt to revolutionalise the housing industry. The use of mass-produced standard parts allows the dome to be affordable. So many office buildings being successfully made of aluminum
and glass. The cost would be very high, but the dome would last for decades with little maintenance required. Why not build a greenhouse to live in? Don't you want to sleep under the stars every night, even when it's storming outside?
The Crystal Dome is not "geodesic" (soccer ball) or "organic" (non-straight line). The Crystal Dome is inspired by the igloo. Ceramic tiles (used in Space Shuttle) and aerogel were also considered.

There are only straight lines with non-90 degree angles.
The shapes are irregular, but predictable.

Aluminum is very expensive to produce from the ore, but once it is in metallic form, it takes much less energy to recycle.
Aluminum does not rust. There is an aluminum house which has required very little maintenance. In Jonquière (Quebec) CANADA, there is a bridge entirely made of aluminum. The information booklet says that since it was constructed in 1950, it has not moved a millimetre and required absolutely no maintenance.
Glass walls.
Options include gold-coated glass, amorphous silicon-coated solar cell glass, etc.
