2019-07-28

• No kids in this dream. I saw 4 or 5 well-dressed guys in suit and tie walking behind the fence, probably government agents. So, I thought that there may be interesting equipment hidden in the forest, and decided to investigate. I lost the guys, but walked westbound, but nothing was found. There was a cliff, so I rock-climbed a bit to go to the other side. There was a university campus, and I entered it. I recognized a childhood friend. I asked him what he was studying, and he said Liberal Arts. I said that Liberal Arts is bad for finding a job, but he said that now it is regarded as a good area, and he has many job offers already. Since there was another childhood friend living nearby, I mentioned to him that now there are 3 living close to one another. Fin.

• I was cooking spaghetti in 2 large woks. It's important not to overcook, but I was focusing on equalizing the quantity of spaghetti between the 2 woks. And the metallic fork was very slippery, so I was having difficulty in moving spaghetti. So, it was being overcooked. Fin.

• In one evening, I went to Loblaws because they were advertising FREE bread. I found the exact item in the store, but the cashier insisted that it is not free of charge. The guy handed me a sheet of paper with the rules. I sat at a table and examined the legal text. It said that the bread must be from the "First Batch". Since there is no way to determine which batch a particular loaf of bread came from, I talked to some other employees. They were unsure, so I demanded to talk to the manager. He/She was unavailable, so I left the store without anything. On the way to an event with possible free food opportunities, I was trying to contact someone (Miseil) on the iPhone, but could not. At the pavilion, the event was already under way. Luckily, there was still free food on the second floor, but it was difficult to find a plate. I was collecting food items, but they were mostly very greasy sausages and bacon. Fin.

2020-04-12

• I was temporarily living at my parents's house, but it was much bigger with a huge basement. Some kind of outburst happened, and lots of people were dying (worse than coronavirus). I was asked to lend the house to the researchers who would develop the vaccine. I said yes because they would provide free food. They came with soldiers for protection. They built a small laboratory area and a big conference area, almost an auditorium. However, there was no bathroom in the basement, so it was rather inconvenient. I was actually eating and tasting lots of food. One of them was fatty beef steak which was very soft, almost like a sponge. The researchers seem to have succeeded, and there was a rumour that Einstein was going to visit, but it did not happen. I was proposing some improvements in lab procedures and analyses, and discussing the logistics of how to travel to other places. One of the guys died in front of me when I was eating in the auditorium. It was intense, but I did not stop eating while his body was being carried away. Fin.

• Fran said in FaceTime that he and Ilknur were visiting here. It was a sudden decision, and Ilknur was already taking a bus. So, I was scrambling to reserve a Communauto car. Fran arrived first, and he was playing video games on his MacBook in my office. I saw an adolescent girl playing a video game in the back yard on a console which was built-in, embedded in the house's brick wall. I saw from the inside of the house that she put a gift wrapped in newspaper. I thought it was money, so I went outside to get it. Actually, there was a stack of surgical masks. I thanked her, and saw another girl playing video games on the iPad. Fran let them both enter the house. Meanwhile, Véro and Ével were much younger, about 15 years old, sitting on a couch doing nothing. So, I shouted at them "Don't waste your time!" I found some dirt on the floor, so I picked it up and put it in a large flat box. I shouted at Fran that the girls must wash their hands. When I looked at the flat box, some green plants were already starting to grow. Fin.

• I arrived at my parents's house. My mother said that there are pickles that she did not like, so I offered to finish them. I opened the refrigerator, and it was almost empty. I found pickles on a small plate. I noticed that the refrigerator's shelf was very thin. When I took out the pickles, the plate with liquid fell to the floor, and made a big mess. Even worse, the refrigeratorÔa shelf detached from the refrigerator's frame. The shelf was also filthy with food residue. So, it was a catastrophe, but I was dealing with it calmly. However, no matter how long I cleaned and cleaned, some new dirt or dirty liquid showed up, so cleanup was taking forever. Fin.

2020-06-16

• I was a university student. I was at home where the room was messy with clothes on the floor. It was a very important day because NASA was about to land a spaceship on the moon. I was all prepared to watch the event at home, but received a message from the school saying that all students must assemble in the auditorium to watch the event. So, I had to take a long train ride to get to school. While on the train, I was constantly checking the progress of the spaceship on the iPhone. When I arrived at school, the auditorium was already full of students, so it was difficult to find a seat. The event was happening on the big screen. However, I realized that the iPhone was missing. So, I left the seat and traced back the path inside the auditorium again and again, but could not find the iPhone. As is often the case, the iPhone could have been in one of the pockets, so I was searching all the pockets again and again. I was worried that someone found the iPhone and erased data on Dropbox. Fin.

• While still searching for the iPhone in an open office area, I asked some guys if they had seen an orphan iPhone. They all said that they do not work there but just sitting on the chairs. I finally found someone who works there. She nicely explained that she had not seen any iPhone, so I asked where the Lost & Found department was. She pointed at the headquarters area and left quickly. I had a portfolio case, but realized that it is no longer there. So, I started running to chase the woman who had likely stolen it. All this was happening on the roof of a building with no rail around. I fell from the roof and grabbed a window pane just below the roof where I was able to hang on. I was sweating, and shouted "Help!" When I woke up, I was sweating. Fin.

2020-06-21

• I was visiting my parents's house with the kids. Their house was very large with many rooms. There was a back entrance, and I saw about 4 big refrigerators, all full of different kinds of ice cream. I asked my mother what they were for. She explained that a woman is renting the space to store ice cream for selling on the road. I slept on the floor. A stranger woke me up. He was staying at my parents's house along with another guy. I was paralysed for some reason, and could not move. I had to stay on the floor while answering some questions. I was finally able to move, so I went to the kitchen area where I found a cot on which one of the visitors slept. I asked my mother why they used a cot even though they have many rooms with beds. Instead of answering the question, she gave me 2 bags of gift. One of them had a tie, and the other had a steel box of cookies that I saw at a ferry terminal before. I said that I do not need such items since I have many ties but never wear them, and I do not like cookies. I nevertheless accepted the gift because they can be given to other people. When I woke up, my arm was paralyzed because of the sleep position. There was no Inception-like dream in a dream. Fin.

• We came back home from family outing somewhere, then we went to bed. When we woke up, I found big mess on the floor. It was a trail of debris with mixture of broken household items and dirt, starting from the front door. It seemed that the door was left open, so I asked the co-habitant (Miseil) who was the last person to enter the house last night, and she said that it was me. But she was very sure that the door was closed during the night. She also said that such incident had happened before. Then, I found several flying bugs inside the house. I was trying to catch them, but was having difficulty. I started to check if some household items were missing because it could have been a thief who made such mess, but could not find anything missing. A big bug fell into a cardboard box, so I quickly collapsed it and folded the box. I felt satisfaction, but there was still much more cleanup left to do. Fin.

2020-06-27

• I went fishing with Fran, Véro and Ével. We caught a mysterious big fish. Then, we were about to go on a family trip. Miseil was supposed to join later. The plan was to get the big fish which was kept in a neighbour's house, cook and eat it at home, then go to the airport. The neighbours were bad guys, but the daughter was a good friend of Fran, so she was supposed to quickly pass the fish to us. Since we were pressed for time, we decided to teleport to the neighbour's house. The teleporter transported everyone but me. I panicked and tried to find out what happened. The neighbour's daughter appeared with the fish and said that nobody showed up at their house. I put the big fish in a freezer, and started to look for the kids in a market. In one booth, Ilknur was giving an informal session to a few guys about travel. There were 3 guys sitting on the floor listening to the talk, and 2 guys standing near a curtain-door entrance. Somehow, Ével showed up and said that we cannot travel to the planned place any more because of travel restrictions, but she found that Ethiopia was OK. However, Fran and Véro were still missing. Fin.

2020-07-16

• When it was time for Ével to leave town, I travelled with Véro and Fran to bring her back. We were all at the school where Ével was working for a few years as a teacher. The school building was surrounded by a concrete ditch filled with clear water. Fran found a snake in bright cyan colour swimming in the ditch. Then, Véro found a big fish. I went closer to the ditch to examine them closely. Actually, there were 3 fish. One was black, and 2 were red. So, I said "they are goldfish!" When one goldfish started to swim away, Véro started to follow it. So did I. The goldfish was swimming very fast, so we were running to chase it. The ditch was all around the school building, so Véro and I were running on grass at first. However, the terrain became muddy, and Véro stopped running. I was still chasing the goldfish, but it became more and more difficult because the ground became muddier and muddier. Finally, I could no longer catch up, so gave up the chase. Fin.

• We were having a family outing in Ottawa, ON, Canada. Only Ével was able to join. There was an area in which an entire city block was full of abandoned houses. We stopped at one of them, and had a picnic inside the ruins. After eating sandwiches, we followed the map to walk towards the Museum of Science and Technology. The museum was closed on that day. There was a security gate with a station where several security guards were congregating in tight quarters. When Miseil said a magic word because she used to work there, a fat woman volunteered to be a tour guide. She took us to the section of trains. We sat inside one of the train cars, and started to read descriptions. The security guard locked the door, and left. Next day's newspaper said that there was a fire at the Museum of Science and Technology in which a train was destroyed. Fin.

• I was working at a medical laboratory in Italy that was searching for an antidote for a fatal disease which was wiping out populations. It was suspected that one of the lab workers was responsible for causing the outbreak, so I was investigating some doctors there. As co-workers after co-workers died, I became close to a female staff member. Together, we were getting closer and closer to the most suspicious source. We finally confronted the male researcher who confessed to the crime, but he stated the obvious that it was too late. He indicated that an antidote was in a vial, so there was a great effort to check all vails in the laboratory building. As the number of workers in the laboratory diminish, I was getting romantically involved with the female partner. In the end, it seemed that the situation stabilized without the antidote. Fin.

2020-08-14

• Grandparents took us (Ével and me) to a luxurious restaurant at the bottom of a hotel which is connected to a big shopping mall. Grandma asked me to carry her handbag which had no strap, so it was awkward. While walking in the shopping mall, grandpa handed me a backpack to put the handbag inside. Then, I realized that I forgot the waist pack which had all important items. I thought that it was no big deal because I had an iPhone. We went inside the luxurious restaurant, which was crowded. I got separated from them while grabbing a menu at the entrance. I went around and around inside the restaurant to look for them, but could not find them. Finally, I took out the iPhone to call them, but the home button was not working. I pushed it again and again, but it didn't help. Finally, I accidentally dropped the iPhone on the floor, and it disintegrated into pieces. I panicked because the other iPhone was on the waist pack that I didn't have. I walked around the restaurant again, but still no luck. I thought of asking the restaurant to make a public announcement, but could not do so due to the foreign language. I was really desperate. Fin.

• There was a nice neighbour who offered to build a structure of circus for kids by putting a rope from one end of a ceiling to another end. I thought that such an indoor structure would not hold the weight of kids, but had it built anyway with a thick wooden plate on each end for enforcement. Another day, he visited to give me several pieces of fried food. While I was picking the finger food by hand, he was saying that I was old, bla-bla-bla. I told him the truth that I was 29 years old and certainly younger than he was. To prove the point, I demonstrated that I can hang on to the rope and move from one end of the ceiling to another end. Well, the enforcement wasn't strong enough, and the nails were coming out, proving my suspicion. My blond spouse came back home and suggested that I shouldn't have listened to him. Fin.

2020-08-25

• I received a letter from Paul & Karen for an invitation to a dinner for $199. Since there's no way that I can pay such an amount, I ignored the invitation. It turned out that the letter was sent to me by mistake. It was for a booth at the exhibition which he was hosting at the same time as the dinner because his house was so big. At the event, Paul directed me to a reserved seat. There were dinner guests already talking about cruises. Since I wasn't interested in such topics, I went to the exhibition area with about 10 booths, some of which were still being set up. Paul was busy managing them, but commented that it will break even if only 2 sales were made. I felt a physical attraction force from a booth selling cookware. It was like tractor beam in Star Trek. However, the strange phenomenon was temporary, so I couldn't investigate further. I went back to the table only to find dirty dishes, indicating that the dinner was already over, so I completely missed the food. Fin.

2020-08-26

• I experienced a problem with postage, so I called Canada Post for clarification. A male agent gave some explanation, but it wasn't very clear. In the afternoon, I drove to the primary school to pick up Véro and Ével. Then, I drove to Canada Post to get to the bottom of the problem. I met a female officer who gave a satisfactory explanation using a document in paper binder. There was a weather alert, so all Canada Post employees had to evacuate the building. I offered a ride to the female officer who accepted. I then drove to another primary school to pick up Fran, but he wasn't there. Assuming that he walked home by himself, I drove home, but Fran was nowhere to be found. So, I drove to the school with the female officer who was still in the car. At the school, Fran was hiding in the shower room. He was curled up because he was afraid of something. The female officer tried to calm him down. Fin.

2020-08-29

• I had an opportunity to stay at the residence of Carleton University for a few days to attend a conference. Since I was an invited guest, I didn't have to pay. In fact, it was a huge penthouse at the top floor of a modern building. The penthouse had many rooms, all nicely over-furnished. For example, one of the walls had a curtain just for decoration. There was even a storage area and a back door connecting to the cafeteria. One day, the kids came, and we all ate at the cafeteria. Fran was drinking coffee. A blonde student introduced herself as "Badass". It was so comfortable that I asked the university if I could live there permanently. Surprisingly, they said yes for $2 000/month. So, I started to plan a move. Fin.

2020-09-19

• I and the kids went on a day cruise on a boat with Grandparents. My aunt's family accompanied with 2 kids who were about the same age as Fran, Véro and Ével. The cruise was advertised as rejuvenating experience. The passengers planted tomato seeds before the cruise. After the end of the day, the tomato plants already had flowers blossoming with yellow pollens spreading all over the place. We left the boat and went to a restaurant in which there was a super-deep yellow pool, so the kids were excited. The pool was being filled, but there wasn't enough water to go in, so the kids were disappointed. We said goodbye and went to the train station. I noticed a big mole on Ével's face, between her left eye and her eyebrow. It may have been side effect of the rejuvenation experience. Fin.

2020-09-20

• It was Ével's first day of school at Carleton University where she studies geology. Family members were invited, so I went there with Fran and Véro, hoping to get some free food. There was Wi-Fi access via eduroam, so I was able to see indoor maps of the university. We were encouraged to sit in any class, so I attended several classes. Since there were many people, it was difficult to find a seat. There was no free food or drinks on campus. At lunch time, we looked for Ével, but couldn't find her anywhere. I reached the pocket to take out the iPhone for Find My app, but I found someone else's green pocket book instead. So, I panicked and started looking for the iPhone without success. I woke up and started typing "It was Ével's first day of school..." on the iPhone. However, I was still dreaming. Finally, the "Inception"-scenario of a dream inside a dream! Fin.

2020-10-16

• We were living in a high-rise apartment building. It was a special day because there was a solar eclipse. I was searching for the #14 welder's glass filter which was stored in an envelope from the previous solar eclipse. Miseil was cooking something in the kitchen. She suggested that we eat outside at a picnic table in the yard on the ground with a rotating table attachment that Fran had obtained somehow. I found a brown letter-sized envelope, but the #14 welders glass filter was not inside. Instead, there were several presentation slides that Véro had made for an art project. Although the slides were somewhat dark, they were not enough to protect the eyes from direct sunlight. When the solar eclipse started, the kids were looking at the sun through a small gap between their fingers. There were no bugs entering the open windows because our apartment was on an upper floor. Before I found the #14 welders glass filter, thick clouds appeared to block the solar eclipse. I opened the refrigerator, and found a yellow spider inside, but could not catch it. When I closed the refrigerator, there was another yellow spider on the refrigerator's door. I woke up as soon as I caught the yellow spider. Fin.

• I had a dental appointment at Dr. Lewinstein's clinic on a late Friday afternoon. It was near the closing hour, but the doctor was running late and there were still 2 patients before me. I started reading a magazine in the waiting room. When these 2 patients were done, they had to close up the clinic. The doctor offered to see me on the next day. I overheard a female hygienist talking about Dr. Lewinstein's strange habit of mysteriously leaving the office for a long time during the day for unknown reason. On Saturday, I went to Dr. Lewinstein's clinic where I saw Dr. Lewinstein being interrogated by a couple of CIA agents. After the CIA agents left, the doctor was in tears. I hugged him and consoled him. I found a huge Madagascar hissing cockroach on the clinic's floor. I picked it up, put it in a plastic bag, and threw it into the trash bin outside. Fin.

2020-11-28

• The Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) was allowing Gatineau citizens to rent a bus from them. Since my double driveway is big enough, I took advantage of the service. I noticed that neighbour Guy was doing the same thing even though his driveway is much smaller. He said that it is a city by-law that forces the STO to provide such a service for free. The next day, a mob of neighbours, about 20 people, showed up in front of the house demanding to inspect the area because of the buses and supposedly some other strange things happening around here. Since I had nothing to hide, I told them that they are quite welcome outside only because I need privacy inside the house. A few days later, Véro was hosting a visit by 2 people. One of the visitors happened to be comedian Robin Williams. They were engaged in some kind of smalltalk on the flat roof of the house. Véro was leading them to show the back yard and beyond, so I decided to follow them all the way. At the back door, there was only 1 sandal, so I had to hop to follow them. After they left, I was making a shopping list of things to buy with a pair of sandals as the first entry. Fin.

2020-12-18

• We had a family outing to Ottawa South by bike, and slept in a cabin in a rural area. Next day, Ével and I left earlier by bike. We were lost because the Maps app on the iPhone was not getting GPS signals. When we were stuck in a private property, the owner invited us into the house, and offered snack which we graciously accepted. After becoming full, we resumed journey north home. I ate too much, so I was too slow cycling, and got separated from Ével. Wherever I went, paved roads became unpaved and ended in dead ends, and I repeatedly got stuck in different properties. In one case, I got into an old building which was transformed into a modern office. Since there was no way out, I had to ask somebody for help. He moved a heavy sliding glass door to let me out. After getting out of the building, I continued to be confused as to whether I was going north or south. I finally got to the Bank Street, so I was looking for Wi-Fi access points. At Landsdowne Park, I cycled along many outdoor patios of restaurants, but each path always led to a dead end. I found a couple disputing and disturbing the people around. I still could not get Wi-Fi signal. Fin.

2020-12-21

• I went on a business trip to the U.S.A. for semiconductor physics work. After coming back, I felt very sick. Dr. Marie-Eve was still on maternity leave, so I went to a different medical clinic inside Galeries Aylmer shopping centre. I didn't explain well enough to the a doctor that I had a respiratory problem during the trip, but coming back it was a digestive problem. So, there was some confusion. Although it was not his fault, the doctor apologized. Instead of writing a prescription, he gave me 2 big bottles of pills without charge. Furthermore, to compensate for the misunderstanding, he ordered his nurse to give her lunch to me. I put the 2 big bottles of pills and all the food into the pockets of my jacket. I met Ével at the food court of Galeries Aylmer shopping centre, and started to open the bags of food. There was a sandwich and a slice of pizza as well. We were happily feasting on the lucky free food. Fin.

• Manoir des Trembles had a junk yard with a huge processing machine to compress cars into a cube for sale. Since the area's soil was contaminated, it was recommended that residents have H2O delivered to home. I had finished free sample of H2O in a 20-litre tank, so I was walking towards their office which was located inside the car-crusher complex, carrying an empty H2O tank. Although I had filled out a registration form on-line, the agent at the office was manually going through the list on paper to find my entry. However, he couldn't find my entry. Suddenly, he took out a huge hammer to smash my plastic tank. I was shocked, and asked him for explanation. He pointed out that my tank had "Nevada" written on it, which meant that it could be used only in Nevada. He started to ask me my H2O usage pattern to determine how much I would be charged for the H2O service. I was explaining that I used to buy H2O from Hull, then from Aylmer for wine-making every 2 months or so. While talking to him, an acquaintance (Angus) entered the office with another guy. Since the agent was having too much trouble, I was inclined not to sign up for the H2O service. Fin.

2021-01-02

• I was visiting a university to give a presentation on how to grow a new kind of vegetable plant. The kids were accompanying me, and we were all staying at the university's residence building. While I was preparing for the presentation, the kids were making lots of croissants. When they finished cooking, they put many croissants into flat transparent plastic boxes, just like the ones at Loblaws. I was putting presentation materials into a cloth bag, and they handed me one box. There was a bathroom across the corridor from our room. When I went there, the toilet was so filthy with faecal matter overflowing with terrible smell, so I immediately got out. Before looking for another bathroom, I went back to our room and shouted at the kids to make sure that they would not go to that bathroom. I also asked the kids to notify the administration about the outrageous toilet situation. Fin.

2021-01-05

• We were at a sea beach for family outing. However, the real purpose of the visit was photo shooting of how to cut a particle board by a cordless drill with a special rotary saw attachment. The photo shooting had to be done in water, while the subject of the photo must be standing on the particle board to be cut. Moreover, the particle board had to be carefully balanced on 2 non-flat rocks. Véro cut one board very easily as a test, then she went away to enjoy herself. When it was my turn, I couldn't keep balance, so I was repeatedly falling into the water. Ével was taking pictures, but she was becoming more and more frustrated by my failure to get started. As time went by, there was less and less water because of receding tide, which made the cutting scene less dramatic. Although I begged Ével to be patient, she left the scene to go swimming. She handed me the camera, so I had to cut the particle board and shoot the scene at the same time all alone. It was very awkward, and I was falling into the water again and again, so I was desperate. Fin.

2021-01-21

• There were lots of flies in the house, large and small. So, I was busy catching them. Then, there was a flood in the basement due to a construction site nearby, building a new office tower. Other houses in the neighbourhood were flooded as well at the same time. It turned out that an ignorant worker left the fire hydrant on, so water was spilling all over the place for a long time. There was an elevator in the house, but when Véro pushed the button, it made noise but did not move. Fin.

2021-02-04

• We were visiting the grandparents. There was a trade show downtown, so we took a train to get to the event. Grandpa noticed something different, so he asked one of the employees of the transportation company. He explained that they recently raised the fare but made it flat regardless of travel distance. The event was happening in a big building with many rooms. There was free breakfast, so we all went there first. However, the catch was that each attendee had to cook his/her food. Véro cooked very nice pancake, and started to eat. Then, Ével followed. I started to cook something fancy in a pressure cooker. There was an announcement of a special session, so we all went to a different room because it was supposed to be brief. After the session, we headed back to the dining room where we were cooking. Because of big crowd, I got separated, and couldn't find the dining room. I tried to use the iPhone, but there was no Wi-Fi signal. After searching for a long time, I finally found the dining room. However, my food was smoking in the pressure cooker, so it couldn't be eaten. Fin.

2021-03-06

• I was making a long-distance trip with Véro and Ével. First, we took OC Transpo Light Rail Transit (LRT). On the train, there were mechanical items that were duplicated. Also, there was a white piece of plastic falling from the door, so I picked it up for reporting to LRT's administration. At the terminal, we went to the top floor where we found 2 large stainless-steel boxes, each of them housing a bug reporting machine, It looked very comfortable, so I planned to eat lunch while reporting bugs. Before doing so, we were enjoying the view from the observation area. When I was ready to report bugs, some workers were removing the bug reporting machines, so I was not able to report bugs. I asked one of the workers where they were taking them, and he said that they were going to the basement. We went down to the first floor of the terminal, and took a ferry to Baffin Island. It was cold, but the view was great. Another ship was travelling in parallel to the ferry for a while. I told Véro and Ével to look out for icebergs. Fin.

• A woman and 2 men visited my house, and asked me if they could use my heat pump for promotion. Since my heat pump was working well, I said no problem. They quickly set up 2 white tents, one tent over the outdoor unit of the heat pump and another tent in the backyard. The 2 tents were both white in colour. I asked one of the men what company they work for, but he evaded the question because he was a trainee, i.e., he was not authorized to represent the company. He asked the other guys if he could leave soon. I explained to the group the benefits of the heat pump and significant savings achieved. I thought that was it, but they called in several more people, and used one of the tents as a media station. One of them was making a list of speakers on a piece of paper, and started to call them one by one. I was looking forward to promised catering of food. Fin.

• I was travelling on a long-distance train to a far-away place with the kids. It was dark at night outside. I had a high-efficiency RED laser light with a big battery and a handle, so I was showing it to the kids, teaching them never to shine it directly to anybody's eyes. Since it was a lot of fun, we were walking from one train car to the next towards the front of the train. We were shining the laser beam inside and outside of the train, carefully avoiding humans. At the front train car, we directed the laser beam to the driver's back, but he/she didn't notice. We started to walk back to our train car. It was very hot inside the train, so I removed my shirt. One guy who was also shirtless started talking to me, pointing out that using such laser was illegal. I explained that it was bought from a publicly-available non-dark-net website, but he got really excited and his hand touched my chest twice. I told him to shut up or else I would press an assault charge. Fin.

• I attended a university conference where researchers were presenting experimental results. When it was over, I started to walk home. There were many offices along a corridor, and I noticed that one of the presenters was inside one room. The office door sign had the name of "Jeb Kroger". She noticed me from the inside, and said that we could walk together because she was just leaving. She held my hand, and we were walking towards a super-wide staircase made of wood with about 100 steps, about 5 m in width. There were huge gaps between the stairs, and there were no rails, so it was very scary. Moreover, I dropped a letter-sized envelope which fell about 10 m down. Jeb said that she couldn't make it, so she left and went another way. I had to keep going because of the envelope, but the pace was very slow. Fin.

• I was visiting Hong Kong on business. There was an open house at a military installation, so I went there with 2 colleagues. The tour started from the facility's entrance which was inside a big shopping mall. We had to remove a jacket, but we were allowed to carry an iPhone. The facility had many interesting aspects, so it was worthwhile. However, their brochure had 2 versions, a thick detailed one and a thin abbreviated one. Oddly, they had an identical cover page, so I said that it was stupid. After the tour was over, we picked up our jackets and left the installation. At the shopping mall to eat lunch, a female colleague pointed out that my jacket was different. Even though it had the same colours (BLACK and BLUE), the jacket was indeed not mine. So, I interrupted my meal and went back to the installation by myself. At the office area where we put our jackets, I couldn't find the hangers, so I asked several workers there, but nobody cared. I was disappointed, but consoled by the fact that the lost jacket was old with holes, while the one that I picked up was new and smooth. Besides, I didn't lose my iPhone. Fin.

• There was a family gathering in a hall with several tables. Véro arranged a meal with a giant octopus, which had to be cooked by boiling for 6 hours in a huge pot. At first, the supper comprised only a huge block of the cooked octopus, which tasted just like beef. The octopus meat was tender and there was no elasticity at all. There were lots of other foods being cooked while eating the octopus. After the meal, we had a long walk in the neighbourhood. Fran, Véro and Ével were all walking separately far apart, so nobody could see anybody else. However, all were aiming for the top of the mountain, so there was no problem meeting at the end. Next day Véro had a lunch appointment. I walked to the bus stop with her, and used STO Shortcut to know when the next bus would arrive. There was a shrub tree which was obstructing the walking path to the bus stop, so it was quite annoying. Fin.

• Véro had to submit an artwork in another city. So, I rented a car, and it became a family outing. The car was a sport car without a roof, and there were only 4 seats. Fran could not make it, so it was OK. I was driving most of the time. We stopped at a library. I was taking some interesting brochures while Ével was getting ice for water bottles. Fin.

• We were all at Grandparents's big house, but we did not see them at all. Several strangers were living there permanently. One day, there was a big party. One American man told me that his daughter will be on the International Space Station (ISS) soon. When I asked him more information, he left a sheet of paper and a business card because he had to leave in a hurry. I gave the sheet to Ével to access a website for further investigation. Meanwhile, I noticed that a toy with some moving parts was making annoying noise due to friction. One part was very loose, about to be detached. I came up with an idea to use oil as lubricant. So, I went to the kitchen to pick up a bottle of olive oil. After coming back, I looked for the toy but couldn't find it. I couldn't find Ével, either. People were discussing directions to places to visit. One woman had brought a portable kiosk where she was explaining the way to get to a specific attraction. They were all speaking English. Fin.

• I entered a design contest organised by Hydro Ottawa. My design was centred around a BLUE recycling bin. I submitted a photo on-line via Instagram, but submission of a physical model was required. So, I drove a Communauto car to visit a designated submission depot. There was a very steep hill, so I had great difficulty in reaching the submission depot. A female receptionist's spouse was on the spot, but he was not much help. However, the receptionist's ex-spouse was also visiting, and he explained to me that the unusual hill was due to one neighbour who built a mound with crushed stones for unknown reason. I told him that I would call 3-1-1 to report the situation to the city. However, he gave me another telephone number because the situation should be handled by Hydro Ottawa, not the city of Ottawa. • I received a parking ticket if $275. There was a lawyer nearby. He told me exactly what to do, i.e., write down the circumstances before August 27. Fin.

• A few days before August 27, I received a message from the lawyer. He was organising a meeting to discuss the issue. When I arrived at the meeting, there were about 20 people who were in the same situation. The lawyer started to explain the importance of writing down the circumstances leading to the parking ticket before the deadline. Since I knew about it, I left the meeting. Later at home, a postie knocked on the door and asked me if I wanted WHITE rubber bands. I said YES, so he gave me about 10. Fin.

However, I left my iPhone with him, so I had no way of communication. While doing laundry downtown, I met a nice woman who was the owner of the laundromat and some other businesses as well. She not only provided coins for the washing machine but also explained that the town was about to expand its red-light district. She invited me to her house for a meal. Since it was getting late, I asked her if I could open a window on her UNIX computer so that I could use iCloud to communicate with John. Fin.

• I was working for an engineering company with a female intern who was a university student from Columbia. I was assigned a special project in Columbia, so I visited the country with some equipment for important experiments. I was walking so much and the roads were so wet that I became very tired. I found a white pickup truck parked on the street. The vehicle was empty and wasn't locked, so I put the equipment inside, ate some snack, and took a nap. When I woke up, it was time for an appointment with some engineering professors at the university. Since the meeting was supposed to be brief, I left the equipment in the pickup truck. When I came back from the meeting, the pickup truck was gone. I panicked and looked everywhere, but couldn't find it. I went back to the university's office and asked for the intern, but they couldn't help me. I finally found the intern, so I was somewhat relieved. She reminded me that she had warned me not to come because of severe air pollution. In fact, the air itself didn't affect me, but I was bothered by many smoking people. Suddenly, lots of water was coming out of hidden holes on the road. The intern explained to me that such spontaneous flood is a fascinating geological feature of Columbia. While she was asking people about the white truck, I was making a poster to explain that I desperately needed to find the white pickup truck. Fin.

• I was concerned about the deteriorating condition of asphalt shingles on the roof of my house. So, I went upstairs to the second floor to take some photos. I opened a window and saw that the neighbour Jeremy was having a big party around a huge in-ground pool in their backyard with several guests from work. I heard one guy saying to another guy that I was spying on them. I told them out loud that I was taking photos because the asphalt shingles are guaranteed for 25 years but they have lasted for only 19 years. One guy insisted that he would wait until the end, i.e., 25 years. So, I explained to him that my previous roof developed a leak after 15 years even though it was guaranteed to last for 20 years. I invited him upstairs to inspect the roof which was indeed peeling off. Some parts of the roof were also partially covered by vegetation. Fin.

• I went to Las Vegas, NV, for a conference. The city was divided in half by a river. There was an early settlement on one side of the river, but it was completely evacuated because it was sinking into the river due to erosion. The area has become a ghost town since then. New areas of the city were built on higher ground on the other side of the river. I was sitting in a portable garden chair near the river, relaxing. Even though NV was so far away from any ocean, I couldn't believe that the water level was suddenly going up and up, just like in the Bay of Fundy in NB/NS. I tried to get out of the chair, but could not. Finally, I shouted "Help!". and 2 adults were able to drag me in the chair out of the water. They invited me to their home to clean up. There were 2 kids in the house, a boy and a girl. The boy showed me his room, and said that it was a "configuration room" to build stuff. Fin.

• I was a graduate student at McMaster University where I was living in a residence with a meal plan. So, each meal at the cafeteria was all-you-can-eat. One day in May, I arrived at an outdoor cafeteria after some laboratory experiments. It was a bit late, so there was scarcely any food left. Moreover, the food that was left looked very bad. When I tried a piece of dark green meat, it tasted so terribly bad that I spit it out. John and Paul were sitting together, but there was no more spot for me at that table, so I continued to search for more food. There was a big trailer parked in the cafeteria. Apparently, it was for one student who was leaving the university on that day. His stuff was in many large brown cardboard boxes which were yet to be loaded onto the trailer. He handed me a large block of raw meat that he no longer needed. So, I brought it to one of the cafeteria staff, who gladly accepted it without asking any questions. Fin.

• I travelled to Toronto, ON, with Miseil. We were staying at a fancy hotel on Bay Street which is a business district in downtown Toronto. It was expensive, but if you solved 5 quizzes correctly, then there would be no charge. The first question was "What is the official stone of Ontario?" We went outside for a walk and found "BusinessStone" in one word engraved on the Stock Exchange Building, so it must be the answer. When we came back to the hotel room, there was a stream of H2O leaking from the ceiling and soaking the bed. I asked Miseil to take care of the quizzes while I contact the superintendent. The stream of H2O was becoming bigger and bigger. I had to pass through a conference room where a large audience was listening to some kind of promotional speech. After dealing with the superintendent's office, I found that Miseil had not finished the quizzes. Instead, she found a clause in the hotel's terms & conditions that hotel stay would be free of charge in case there was a flood. Fin.

• I was a university student living on campus. When I was outside and reading a print version of the newspaper, a drop of sticky liquid fell onto the newspaper. I didn't think much about it, but a while later, about 100 small ants were gathering around the liquid on the newspaper. Luckily, I had a plastic bag in a pocket of my jacket, so I tore the infected portion out of the newspaper and put it into the plastic bag. I went inside and sat in the common room area of the residence. A guy approached me, and promoted the benefits of new type of shaving cream. I bought a can from him, but the foam was leaking out a bit. Some time later, I looked up, and saw a lot of foam dripping from several spots of the ceiling. The columns of foam continued to grow like icicles, but the source of the shaving cream was still unknown. Fin.

• I attended an in-person seminar at former Nortel campus in Ottawa, ON, Canada. The seminar was given by one of Telus's vice presidents. After the talk, there was a reception. Most of the refreshments were gone by the time I arrived there because I was asking the speaker many questions. A nice lady kindly gathered bits and pieces of food to assemble a sandwich for me. She put the sandwich in cupcake paper. I took a couple of bites, but then the sandwich fell to the floor. I picked up the sandwich, but the food had transformed into soil inside the cupcake paper. Other engineers at the seminar saw me throwing it into a trash can, and criticised me for wasting food. When I showed them the soil, they understood in astonishment. I left the food area and visited some labs because the speaker was giving a tour. I had an urge to urinate, so I was frantically searching for a toilet, but couldn't find any toilet in the building. • Because the Aloe vera plant died due to over-exposure to isopropyl alcohol ((CH3)2CHOH), the flower pot stayed empty for many weeks. One day, the kids brought several small baby plants and planted them into the potting soil of the flower pot. After finishing planting, they went to a nearby room and slept there. I took out the vacuum cleaner to clean the floor because black soil was spread everywhere. When I looked at the flower pot, I was amazed to observe that the soil had turned to white, just like volcanic ashes. The small plants were still alive, so I added dihydrogen monoxide (H2O). After finishing vacuum-cleaning the floor, I noticed that the articulating ladder was morphing to become ultra-wide, as wide as 1 m by unknown force. Fin.

• I was a junior police detective, investigating the disappearance of a woman. I had a senior partner who was leading the investigation. We first visited the missing woman's house, which was in a high-class neighbourhood. The landlord was there with a baby in her arms. She is the one who had made the missing person's report to the police, so she started to explain the circumstances. However, we found that there was nothing unusual. I was holding the baby while she was showing the house. The house was meticulously kept clean. There were about 8 sets of empty dishes, utensils and napkins at the table, ready to accept visitors. The landlord knew the missing woman's daughter, so she showed us the way to the daughter's apartment which was nearby but in a lower-class neighbourhood. It was a warm day, so there were people outside. One guy sitting near the entrance of the apartment said that strange things were happening lately, but he didn't elaborate. We were about to enter the apartment. Fin.

• I was working for Vention, the same robotics company as Fran does. After many weeks of hard work, it was the release day when product announcement is made. The whole company was excited, but everything had to be thoroughly checked. I was the project coordinator, so I had the big picture of progress. Everything seemed to be fine in good shape, ready to go. I was verifying that each claim element of Vention's patent actually has a corresponding element in the real hardware system and functions as specified. I triple-checked and confirmed such correspondence, so finally gave a go-ahead signal. All team members were pleased, and it was time to go to the downtown convention centre for the big announcement. The robotic system was quickly loaded to a truck, and the team members were also boarding on the truck. I had stay in the control centre to monitor the event just in case unexpected events may happen. It was OK for me because free food and drinks were provided in unlimited quantities. Fin.

• I was an office worker in a company, specifically, a member of an engineering team. One day, I was doing engineering analysis, followed by printing out the results for the final report. While checking draft after draft, I noticed that the size of text and image on paper was smaller than expected. As a matter of fact, the paper size had shrunk from the letter size of 8.5 by 11 inches to 8.25 by 10.75 inches. I was shocked by the finding, so I decided to present the discrepancy to the other team members in a staff meeting for discussion. During the meeting, I first emphasized the importance of correct size on paper for engineering projects. Then, I explained that there was no problem with the laser printer until now. For demonstration, I used a ruler to show the exact size of paper, but I had trouble counting fractions of inches because I was so used to ISO metric system. Nevertheless, the other team members understood such disturbing discrepancy. One team member stood up and proposed that a scaling factor be applied before printing, like 110 %. Everyone agreed that it was a brilliant idea, so I started to calculate the exact scaling factor. However, I was not certain that one scaling factor could be used for both X and Y directions. Fin.

• Ével enrolled me and herself into a nutrition research study for 2 weeks. The study had to be very detailed, i.e., every food had to be measured precisely and photographed. Since I eat the same food every day, it was simple for me, using the same picture every day. However, poor Ével had to set up an area on a workbench with a ventilation fan for camera shots 3 times per day for 2 weeks. Lighting was also problematic, so she asked me to turn ON all lights in the house. Luckily, every light was LED, so there was little problem of heat generation and power consumption. In addition to recording every food eaten, a cylindrical piece of special item had to be taken at every meal. The item looked and smelled like a small salami sausage, about 10 mm in diameter and 100 mm in length. I was a control subject, so I didn't eat the item. At one meal, Ével dropped the cylindrical item onto the floor by accident, so she was looking for it in vain for a very long time. Fin.

• I went to Toronto with Ével to visit Véro. She was fine, but there was another cat called Shokon which was much smaller than Daikon. The 2 cats were getting along very well, playing together. Ével and I went to a park with a baseball field near Véro's place. It was strange that there was a mound close to the home base. We were shocked to find a giant creature coming out of the hole behind the mound. The creature was as big as the largest species of dog, but it was in fact a giant cat. Fin.

• I was showing some inventions to a couple in the neighbourhood. They were quite interested in making one of them into a gadget. Discussions in their garage led to an agreement to carry out a commercial venture. First, we hired a neighbourhood boy. There was a drone flying to spy on us. It turned out to be from CBC Venture programme. A journalist showed up and wanted to have a casual interview. He was proposing to record our progress to air on an episode. While discussing, he asked me why I live with the couple in their house. I explained that i live alone in my own house across the street from them. I was reluctant to be featured because of past experiences such as the Bird column on the Ottawa Citizen newspaper in which my name was mutilated to be "Sam". So, I was telling the CBC journalist that accuracy was paramount in order to prevent such distortion. Conversations should be recorded and properly fact-checked, etc. He seemed to agree. Fin.

• I was a real astronaut, living on NASA Johnson Space Centre campus for an upcoming mission. However, I was not sure what the purpose was. I did not know other astronauts in the mission other than one astronaut who was keeping impeccable notes on his paper notebook with exactly what to do. He was a pilot, so it must have been natural for him. I had none of those. All I knew was a vague idea that I would be doing some kind of experiments. It was the launch day, and I was supposed to report to the launch area by 13:00, or else I would be replaced by a backup astronaut. However, I had mobility issue, so I could not run or even walk at regular speed. The launch window was fast approaching, but I was still at the residence building on campus looking for the stuff to bring. I was sure that the stuff was in the locker, but I could not find the right locker in the locker room. After a while, I realized that I had removed them from the locker and put them on the floor at the end of the locker room. After getting the stuff, I needed one camera, which was somehow locked to the wall of the corridor. I did not have the key, so I used brute force to take it out, but the camera broke. I really needed a washroom, but could not find it on several floors. After I finally found a washroom, a researcher stopped me and started to explain his experiments. It was quite interesting, so I stayed there for a while. Véro was nearby. She handed me a dice and asked me to take it to space. I explained that there is strict weight protocol, but finally accepted it. Now, I needed an elevator to go to the ground floor, but I exited on the wrong floor. Finally, I was on the ground floor, but did not know which way to take a shuttle bus to the launch area. The researcher was there, so I asked him. He simply answered "river". I looked around, and one side had a pond with water, so I rushed there. A bus just arrived, so I jumped onboard. I asked the driver if it was the right bus to go to the launch area. She simply pointed her finger at another bus, so I jumped onto that bus. I was finally on the right bus to the destination. On the bus, there were 3 girls discussing the design of my bag which was designed by Véro. I just ignored their analysis and comments. It was obvious that I was too late to be on time, so I accepted the fate that I would never go to space. Fin.

• My kids were attending the same university. There was a massive cheating scheme there, but university administration was doing their best to hide such an embarrassing situation. The kids were reporting that university's students were disappearing one by one. Those who disappeared were the ones who were gathering evidence in order to expose the truth about university's wrongdoing and coverup operations. I confronted university's administrators, but they were threatening me with physical violence. I resisted as much as possible, but I was all alone, and I was about to be killed. I woke up with loud banging noise and real pain in feet because I was sleep-kicking the plastic table next to the bed. Fin.

• I was working at TechInsights. One day, I finished work at 17:00 or so as usual. I planned to continue work at home later in the evening. So, I was gathering paper documents to bring back home. However, one important document was missing, so I started looking for it everywhere in my office and in common areas. I explained the situation to Nick, but he had to leave. It was raining hard outside. My shoes were missing, too. I searched everywhere for my shoes as well, but I couldn't find them. I was desperately asking everyone in sight. Véro was supposed to come back home from school soon, if not already, so I wanted to send her a message on the iPhone because she wasn't carrying a key. Instead of an iPhone, I found an old analogue watch at the end of the lanyard around my neck. The time on the watch was 03:30 even though it was definitely after 17:00. So, I realized that it was a dream. I found a stack of little round non-sticky note pads. I picked one pad, and started to write down the nightmare. I then woke up for real. Fin.

• I was on the second floor of the house. I found an obscure door which I hadn't noticed before. When I pushed the door open, a hidden room appeared. The room was quite big, about 5 m by 5 m, with a concrete floor, but dark inside. There were no glass windows, but there were sliding wooden storm windows. When I opened them, I saw a neighbour's family with 2 kids starring back, so I looked away. Véro was anxious about what to do in the newly-found room. She brought a bunch of ropes which could be used for jumping, so she started to select the ones with appropriate length for skipping. There were some signs, like a small bed, suggesting that we knew about this room many years ago but have forgotten about it since then. I was discussing with Miseil about the potential use of this room when I noticed a small spider about 2 cm in length. I asked Ével to bring tissue paper quickly. Then, Miseil noticed another spider, a giant one about 20 cm in diameter, so I asked her to keep eyes on the big one while I dealt with the small one. It was relatively easy to catch the small spider. However, its body had hard thorns, so my fingers were hurting on my way to the toilet to flush it away. When I came back, the big one was still there, but I had no idea how to deal with that one. Fin.

• I was a university student at McMaster University, living on campus. I had to take a long leave, but I left all my stuff in the room. When I came back many months later, the residence had been renovated beyond recognition. I was puzzled, so asked a guy who turned out to be an engineering professor. He was kind enough to lead me to the Unicentre where students can get help. He was walking so fast that I lost him. Then, I encountered a bald guy, but it turned out to be the professor whose detachable wig had flipped over. After following him, I lost him again, this time for good. I finally found the Unicentre building. Miseil was there, and accompanied me. There were several food kiosks at ground level. In the Student Services section, there were many students sitting on chairs. They appeared to be foreign students who needed help. When my turn came, a male security guard behind the counter gave me the new address where my stuff was supposed to be kept. However, I didn't have my iPhone, so I asked for a pen and paper. Instead of giving me a pen and paper, he gave me a lot of food, but he had trouble passing the food through a narrow opening on the glass shield. They all came through, but he said that I had to pay. He pointed at a female cashier. I paid, and left the building with Miseil. Fin.

• Miseil and I decided to resurrect a stereo system which had been unused and put in storage for many years. Electric connectors were lost, so we were very confused. Since I was working as a janitor at a big convention centre where U.S. Republican Party was gathering, I was searching for loudspeaker cables that I could use at home. I was cleaning up the stage where many boring speeches were taking place. The organiser was annoyed by my presence as a janitor, so he ordered me to leave the stage. I gladly complied. There were a few disposable drinking straws on the floor, so I picked them up and connected them to make a super-long straw. I put one end of the straw into my mouth, and started to leave the stage which was empty because during the period between speeches. The audience was engaged in useless talks, but somebody started to clap at me with the straw in my mouth. Soon, I was a hero at the centre of attention while I was leaving the stage, being clapped by thousands of people. Fin.

• One day, I went to a shopping centre by myself. I noticed that one store was holding a special art exhibit. There were many paintings, and the artist was there talking to some people who were looking at the paintings. Next day, I went to another shopping centre with Ével. The entire space was hosting a special event by many artists. I noticed the same artist that I had seen the previous day at the other shopping centre. Her entire family seemed to be there, but I didn't talk to anybody. I was moving from one store to another with Ével, but lost her after a while. I didn't think that it was serious, but then realized that her iPad mini was in my bag. I took it out and logged in, no problem with access. However, it was in different language, so I had difficulty understanding what was displayed. All I needed was Ével's telephone number because she had her iPhone with her. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find Ével's telephone number on Ével's iPad. I switched to my iPhone and searched for Ével's telephone number, but couldn't find it there, either. I was in panic mode, and started to move back to the shopping centre's entrance. I was getting tired, so I sat on a bench. A fat woman and her kid arrived and told me that they were sitting on the bench first. When I explained to them that I was in desperate situation, they understood and let me squeeze into the space. Fin.

• It was the departure day in late November to visit Ével in Sweden, and to observe aurora borealis beyond the Arctic Circle. To my great surprise, there was a public announcement of Emergency Alert at my address, 65 des Parulines, Gatineau, QC, because large a amount of chia seeds and quinoa seeds is stored in the house. The announcement was everywhere on the Internet, TV channels, radio stations, etc. It was broadcast not only in Gatineau, QC, but also in Ottawa, ON, as well. So, I went hiding at Corbeil, and I was playing cards to kill time with 2 visitors there. On the radio, there was notification about my flight getting ready, so I started to access Uber on the iPhone for a ride to YOW. One of the visitors opened up the door of the sunken floor to prepare for delivery and installation of a new TV set. Fin.

• I attended an in-person conference of IEEE at a local university. During Q & A session, I asked one question. There was another guy who was very knowledgeable with the subject, and he was asking a lot of questions. Since I went there by bicycle, I was tired so I lied down on the bench in the conference room during most of the presentation. When the Q & A session was over, the conference organizer took over, and asked the audience if there was really no more questions while he was specifically looking at me. I was still lying down, but it was obvious to the audience that he mistook me for the guy who was asking lots of questions. When I simply said "no", the audience started to clap. The speaker seemed to be also amused. Fin.

• I used a Communauto car to go shopping at Musca and Costco on Wednesday. Friday night/Saturday morning, I dreamed that a car and a bicycle were buried deep in snow on the driveway. I suddenly woke up, and wasn't sure if I had returned the Communauto car. So, I went outside at 04:22 on Saturday to confirm that I had indeed returned the Communauto car on Wednesday.

• I was visiting my parents for a while. From there, I travelled to another city and stayed there for a few days. I took out my iPhone, used some apps, then put it down to a concrete bench. However, the iPhone fell down from upright position. The fall was just a few centimetres. Amazingly the iPhone broke into 2 pieces! When I went back to my parents's house, I tried to explain to the people there how it happened. Fin.

• I attended an event with Ével in Gatineau, QC, because there was free meal. After eating a lot of food, we were on a staircase outside the building, facing south-west. While Ével was busy talking with someone, I saw big smoke across the river in Ottawa, ON, so I screamed FIRE! The smoke was BLACK, and it was coming out in pulses. I determined that it was not fire but volcanic eruptions. We decided to rush to visit the place of action for careful observation of geological phenomenon because risk is our business. We were on bicycle going south towards Ottawa while lots of vehicles were going north towards Gatineau to escape from the volcanic eruption. Fin.

• Unknowingly, I somehow time-travelled to the past. The layout of my house was somewhat different, a bit smaller. While I was in the garage, I saw a woman leaving something at the front door. There was also a small pyramid-shaped object made of concrete on the walkway, but I did not approach her to ask what it meant because I was half naked. Inside the house, a calendar was on the wall with something BLUE hanging in front, but it was half fallen. Ével was a baby wearing one-piece pyjamas. She was moving a lot, but was unable to talk. Véro was doing something and talking. Miseil was cooking in the kitchen. I asked her what was going on because I knew that the kids were all adults now. She did not have an answer. Fran was in a different room with some friends. I was trying to get to his room, but the path was blocked not by objects but by design. Then, I Woke up. Fin.

• Véro and Kevin had 2 cats as pets, but they acquired another pet. It's an ape, either a chimpanzee or a bonobo, but they didn't care as long as it was well behaved. It turned out that the ape was very gentle, just like their 2 cats. When I visited them to help out the situation, the ape still didn't have a name. I found that the ape was quietly uttering something like a word. When I was alone with the ape, I focused on making sense of ape's speech. It turned out that the ape can think enough to compose a complete sentence. I reported to Véro & Kevin the shocking finding, but they were skeptical. So, I was trying to find the Voice Memos app (iOS) on the iPhone to prove that the ape can talk, but I was having great difficulty in finding the app and setting it up for recording. Véro agreed to publish the audio on the Internet when it's ready because it would be sensational, guaranteed to become a viral super-megahit. Fin.

2024-04-21

• I was a member of a team attending a trade show of winter sport equipment in Canada. The show was half outdoor, half indoor. There was a lot of snow outside, so some equipment was buried in snow the night before it was supposed to start. It was difficult to move around, but we were checking out booths like those at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). One of the booths had a lot of food, mostly fish. I found cooked salmon, so asked the team leader if I can eat it. The answer was not entirely negative, so I decided to eat a small piece of salmon. It had bones and skin, and tasted bland. There was a TV set, and I wanted to know if there was some news coverage. I repeatedly said to my iPhone "Siri, show me Global TV News", but Siri wasn't able to tune into the channel. Fin.

• I was at Parulines house with the kids. When I woke up one day and looked at the backyard, the cedar hedge was almost all gone. I found 2 bears in golf course's forest across the backyard. Since they were the most likely culprit, I searched for my iPhone to take photos as evidence, but I couldn't find it. When I finally found my iPhone, the bears were gone. The damage was extensive, so I was desperate and panicking. I went out and when I came back home, a teenage girl and her father were collecting pieces of cedar trees that were on the ground. They said that the service was free of charge because they can sell cedar leaves later, but they didn't know why. I explained to them that pharmaceutical companies process the leaves and produce cancer drugs. When I went inside the house, I found a large frog hanging on a wall at the main entrance. The frog was dead, desiccated like a mummy. On another wall nearby, I found another frog in similar situation, but it was smaller than the first one. Just as I reached my iPhone, one of my kids came back from the outside and banged the door. When I checked, the frogs were gone from the walls, so I was very sad for missing the sensational photo-op. Fin.

• Ével was working at LKAB in Kiruna, Sweden. She had a nice office. When I visited Kiruna, Sweden, I went to Ével's office, but she was busy elsewhere. There was a plate of potato-based dish on the desk. It was just pieces of potato cooked in thick sauce, and nothing else. Since nobody was claiming it, I started eating the food. Ével had made arrangement to go for supper with 4 other LKAB workers on that day, and I was included, so I was looking forward to the occasion. While eating the potato dish, one of Ével's co-workers who was going to the supper informed me that there was a shortage of spots. I volunteered to be excluded, so he was relieved. In return, I asked him to save any leftover food, and he said that it was a good deal. Fin.
