I would like to report dishonest marketing practice by Bell Canada.
Although I repeatedly indicated that I do not need any TV service, a Bell Canada agent explained to me that Alt Télé is automatically included for the price of $14.95 CAD/month minus a discount of $14.95 CAD/month, making it "FREE", and that this no-charge Alt Télé service is in effect as long as I remain a Bell Canada customer. Here is what I was paying from July 2018 to June 2019.
The agent advised me to call annually in June in order to renew the discount for loyal customers. When I called them on 2019-06-07, I was told that Fibe 300 is no longer offered in my area. So, I agreed to an upgrade to Fibe 500 for $1.00 CAD/month more. Here is what I was promised, after adding a CRTC-approved system-wide increase.
A close inspection reveals that the base price of Fibe 500 is not the promised amount of $75.95 CAD/month but $78.80 CAD/month, and that "FREE" Alt Télé is no longer free but $14.95 CAD/month. I hate such lies and deception...
Thank you very much for your attention.

More than 1 month after Bell Canada convinced me to upgrade from Fibe 300 to Fibe 500, I signed up for SamKnows: Measuring Broadband Canada project to collect large amounts of data and statistics to monitor my Internet performance. My Whitebox page shows that the Internet connection is still Fibe 300, and Speed test result shows sub-standard performance!

To whom it may concern
My bill for Bell Canada's Internet service has jumped from $80.95 + taxes (July 2020) to $90.95 + taxes (August 2020). As instructed by Bell Canada's agent in the past, I hereby request that Bell Canada's loyal customer discount be extended, please.
The agent had explained to me that the credit for FibeTV would last as long as I remain Bell Canada's customer, and that the credit for a time-limited discount can be renewed annually, especially because my Internet usage is exceptionally low. You can verify the fact simply by reviewing the recording of my conversations with Bell Canada's agents in 2019, 2018 and 2017.
Therefore, please proceed with continuing the discount so that my bill would remain at $80.95 + taxes without resorting to an appeal to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
