Here is Google Maps's timeline for the day when I cycled to the Gatineau Park. Google Maps says that I was "On a ferry" from Home to Huron Shelter or from Champlain Lookout to Lac-Pythonga.
However, there is no ferry at my home or at Huron Shelter, and the Champlain Lookout is landlocked! Moreover, Lac-Pythonga is 150 km away!! Furthermore, Lac-Pythonga does not have any ferry service!!!

On 2020-09-04, I went to Costco by bicycle, and came back home 3 hours later. Google Maps Timeline, however, says that I went to Costco on 2020-09-04, and came back home on 2020-09-05.
One week later, Google Maps Timeline somehow changed "Cycling" to "Running" automatically without my intervention.

One day, I cycled all day, about 46 km in total. Google Maps Timeline shows more or less the path that I took. However, it says that I travelled 0 km (Driving) + 1 km (Walking) + 7 km (Cycling) = 8 km, i.e., hopelessly useless.

Even though I did not change any settings, Google Maps Timeline stopped to record timeline sporadically on random days, i.e., hopelessly useless.
