• Spring freshets are recurring phenomena that generally result in some flooding every year along the Ottawa River. Here is the Ottawa River Pathway.

  

• In contrast, here is the train track at OC Transpo's LRT station which is located on high ground, i.e., it is positioned on elevated land.
