I colour-coded 3 essential control buttons (Power Level, Sensor Cook, Start) on my microwave oven by permanent marker pens. I have the sense of finally overcoming Panasonic's bad user interface (UI) design.
RED: Start
BLUE: Power Level (10 Levels)
GREEN: Sensor Cook (1-9)
Analysing the level of each colour indicates statistical significance of buttons "2", "9", "0", "Timer", and "Quick 30".
