2026-07-13|Perraro Panda E-Trike's Noise & Warped Disc

To Perraro Electric Bike

• My Perraro Panda Electric Trike 750W was delivered on 2026-06-30. Since then, assembly took a few days due to the lack of accurate and important instructions (a lot of steps were missing in the instruction manual). Many issues were noted, such as the back wheels's fenders that could not be installed without the wheels touching them (i.e., friction).

  

• On 2026-07-12, I was riding the E-Trike on a flat ring road, which is ideal for practice. All of a sudden, strange periodic noise appeared. Upon examination, I found that the part of the right disc enclosed in the calliper is warped. The warping does not seem to be permanent. Please refer to the video.

  

• I have no idea what to do, so please let me know how to proceed.

• I reported the problem to Perraro's Technical Support by phone, but it was difficult to effectively convey the situation because videos could not be shared. So, I am filing a SUPPORT REQUEST here with proper attachments.

• The product is merely 2 weeks old since taking delivery, and the mileage is only 48 km in normal conditions. Therefore, the condition of the disc is hardly damage that naturally occurs with regular use of Perraro electric tricycles.

• Perraro's agent sent me a video of how to adjust the disc brake, but the technique for adjusting disc brake rotors and callipers would not apply to Perraro's E-Trike because the disc itself is not permanently warped in my case. Perraro's agent also advised that I visit a local bike shop to have it repaired. So, I am contacting a local bike shop (L'Atelier Vélo in Gatineau, QC, Canada) now.

• Perraro's agent mentioned that because wear and tear are not covered, any work at a local bike shop would not be reimbursed. The product is merely 2 weeks old since taking delivery, and the milage is only 48 km in normal conditions. Therefore, the condition of the disc is hardly damage that naturally occurs with regular use of Perraro electric tricycles.

  WARRANTY
  What's Covered: Defective or damaged components in Perraro electric tricycles caused by manufacturing defects or shipping damage (not user-related). Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal conditions.
  What's NOT Covered: Wear and tear parts such as brake pads, spokes, rotors, chains, and tires.
  Wear and Tear: Wear and tear refers to damage that naturally occurs with regular use of Perraro electric tricycles.

• Therefore, please authorise reimbursement for work done by a local bike shop.

• Here is the status of my Perraro Panda Electric Trike 750W. As advised by Perraro's Technical Support 2 weeks ago, I took the E-Trike to the local bike shop (L'Atelier Vélo in Gatineau, QC, Canada). Upon inspection, they said that the anomaly is not due to wear and tear but to manufacturing defects. The repair is scheduled to be completed on 2026-07-27. Incidentally, the component for horn and turn signal switch that Perraro's agent had promised over 3 weeks ago has not arrived yet.

• Subject: Follow-Up

• Here is a follow-up of my "Status Report" that I sent you Thursday (2026-07-23), in which I reported to you that I took my Perraro Panda Electric Trike 750W to the local bike shop (L'Atelier Vélo in Gatineau, QC, Canada), as advised by Perraro's Technical Support 2 weeks ago.

• Yesterday (2026-07-24), L'Atelier Vélo provided their analysis of the problem which they determined to be not due to wear and tear but due to manufacturing defects. Since the voicemail message is in French, I used Gemini to produce transcript and translate to English.

  It's Julien from Atelier Vélo. ... And actually, regarding the brakes, what's happening is that your shaft in the back that connects to both wheels isn't even. It's really further to the right than it is to the left. So basically, the discs aren't centered on the caliper. That's why they're crooked and why it rubs. The shaft is really not aligned. That's not the kind of work we can do here... in the sense that we really don't have the time to do that, nor the space to do it Ñ we don't really have a lift for that. So unfortunately, that's not something we'd be able to do.

• As you can see, the bottom line is that the local bike shop is unable to repair the mis-aligned shaft. Therefore, I would like to return the Perraro Panda Electric Trike 750W for FULL REFUND. As Perraro's Return & Refund Policy's "Must be in original, undamaged condition" does not apply to this particular E-Trike with "Manufacturing defects", please advise how to return the defective E-Trike.

• Considering that this manufacturing defect creates a major issue in the sense that I cannot ride my new E-Trike due to it, and that the condition was like this upon arrival, I ask that Perraro take the E-Trike back with full refund and reimburse the shipping and customs fees. Again, I did not cause this major issue and it was not wear and tear. This is a manufacturing defect and Perraro has the responsibility to resolve this issue.
