2026-07-20|Hydro-Québec's Chelsea Generating Station
To whom it may concern
My geological engineer/exploration geologist daughter Évelyne and I planned to visit Hydro-Québec's Chelsea Generating Station which is marked "NEW!" on webpage "Discover our generating stations, dams and interpretation centers".
I entered Directions > "Chelsea Generating Station" on Apple Maps and also on Google Maps, then selected "Bicycle". We followed the route that are common to both Apple Maps and Google Maps.
When we arrived at the destination for the guided tour, the gate was locked up, and there was no personnel to be seen. A touch-tone landline telephone was available, but none of the numbers on Hydro-Québec's website was reachable. We spoke to nearby residents, but they had no idea. There were 2 other people who were trying to visit the station, but they were also puzzled. What is going on?
