- Please help!
- I received a message from CIRA stating that my domain name "hyperinfo.ca" will expire 2002-03-09, as shown attached.
- Well, I paid my registrar Internic.ca last year (2001) for a 5-year renewal, and the record at the Internic.ca website as of today correctly indicates the expiry date of 2006-03-10.

- Today, I received yet another message from CIRA stating that my domain name "hyperinfo.ca" will expire 2002-03-09. This is in fact the third message regarding the expiry of my domain name registration.

- 2002-03-02 | CIRA | SUSPENSION OF YOUR DOT-CA REGISTRATION
- When I received the first renewal notice 2002-01-18, I replied to both CIRA and Internic.ca stating that I paid my registrar Internic.ca last year (2001) for a 5-year renewal, and the record at the Internic.ca website correctly indicates the expiry date of 2006-03-10, as shown attached.
- I also telephoned both CIRA and Internic.ca to confirm this fact, and Internic.ca assured me that the money for 2002 will be transferred from Internic.ca to CIRA without delay.
- Well, the fact that I continue to receive these messages up to 7 days before the expiry date implies that the money may not have been transferred. There is no transparent way of knowing if the transfer of money has taken place or not.
- Internic.ca, please give me the status of the transfer of money to CIRA for 2002. If the transfer has not been done, please do it immediately.
- CIRA, please acknowledge the receipt of the money if you have received it. If you have indeed received the money from Internic.ca for 2002, please stop sending me these messages since it gives me a heart attack every time I receive one.
- I sincerely hope that it is merely a temporary breakdown of communication rather than a failure of transfer of money, and that such a breakdown of communication will be remedied soon, according to the stated goals of CIRA which I wholeheartedly endorse.
